One of the most special things about a wedding day for me as a photographer, is witnessing the gestures of love expressed by the couple. I'm a sucker for a sweet love letter ... something that is less common in these days of computers, mobile devices and digital methods of communicating.

When a couple exchanges handwritten messages of love and anticipation on their wedding day it warms my heart to know that the love letters will be a cherished keepsake for years to come.

I can imagine that it would be important at some point in a marriage to go back and read the thoughts and feelings of how they each felt on the wedding day.  I'm sure that these notes will serve as a reminder of the true love when things are a bit tough.  Like every other area of life, sometimes we need a reminder that we are loved and that everything will be alright.

I will sometimes photograph the notes themselves so that the importance of the gesture is never forgotten.
